The Prime Minister honors the Governor of Aswan on the occasion of Fares being named the best environmentally friendly model village

Abstract: Major General Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, confirmed that choosing Fares Village as the best environmentally friendly model village comes thanks to the efforts of the state and the government in creating a cultural and qualitative shift within the Egyptian countryside.

Through a package of huge projects, whether within the presidential initiative ‘A Decent Life’, or the comprehensive health insurance system and other initiatives that changed the face of life in the villages of the governorate, including Fares… This came on the sidelines of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly honoring the Governor of Aswan on the occasion of Fares being chosen as the best An environmentally friendly village whose model will be distributed to 175 Egyptian villages within the activities of the conference (National Initiative for Smart Green Projects) under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in the presence of Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, and a number of ministers. And also Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, the climate pioneer for the Egyptian presidency of the 27th session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), and the chair of the initiative’s arbitration committee. A number of governors, the general coordinator of the initiative, and the United Nations resident coordinator in Egypt, a large number of officials, representatives of parliamentary councils, private sector institutions, civil society, representatives of a number of international and regional organizations, heads of unions and chambers of commerce, a number of university presidents, and an elite group of experts, academics and media professionals. Major General Ashraf Attia revealed that the village of Fares has become a community. A countryside replete with many of the components and requirements of quality of life, while being completely free of carbon emissions and causes of environmental pollution. He explained that during the implementation of the ongoing projects of the Decent Life Initiative, consideration was given to establishing sewage plants with a tertiary treatment system, as well as solar energy plants, in addition to lining and rehabilitating canals, and also renewing networks. Water and lighting the streets and main roads with new and renewable energy, in addition to establishing government and agricultural complexes and other environmentally friendly service buildings, in addition to increasing green areas by establishing two parks, and spaces designated for entertainment with specifications suitable for people of determination, as well as a number of other services.
